As The Beards prepare to unleash their beardiest album yet, we take you behind the scenes as Johann and John put the finishing touches on the new mixes. The album will be dropping May 2014, just in time for the massive album launch tour. It’s a good time to have a beard.

 

If there’s one thing better than beards, it’s MORE BEARDS! But if there’s one thing better than more beards, it’s BEER and more beards. Fortunately for everyone concerned, there will be a glorious union of the two aforementioned things at the Jam Tap Takeover. It’s happening at the Jam Gallery in Bondi Junction this Fri March 21st, and you’ll be able to sample specialist brews from 10 of Australia’s finest breweries, as well as sample specialist beard-related songs from Australia’s finest beard-related song brewers, The Beards. Come down and get amongst it – it’s our first show back from Europe so you’ll be able to see for yourself whether we’re sounding extra tight from all those shows, or whether life on the road has turned us into broken men.

Also, just wanted to point out that if you don’t like beer or beards, you should probably re-assess your life up to this point.

 

We’ve returned from our triumphant Euro-bout To Grow A Beard Tour, and boy are our beards longer than ever. In between back-to-back sold out shows at London’s iconic Borderline, first-ever visits to Denmark and Ireland (including sold-out shows in Copenhagen and Dublin), and massive sold-out gigs in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, Frankfurt and a bunch more, we also managed to convince over 7 people to “probably grow a beard if my girlfriend lets me”.

We also had the good folk at Rockpalast film our gig in Cologne for broadcast during March – you can check out the live footage, interview and special acoustic performance right here. Big news Australia, we’re releasing what may well be the definitive beard-related album and we’re thrilled to announce this massive Australasian tour to launch it…

Our EURO-BOUT TO GROW A BEARD TOUR is shaping up to not only be our biggest international tour yet, but also our most beardy. We’ve already added an extra show at The Borderline in London, sold out our Copenhagen show, moved our Dublin and Hamburg shows to bigger venues, and lots of other shows are filling up fast. If you’re in Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, Scotland or England, don’t miss out on seeing this year’s most beard-related musical event.

 

PLUS our show at The Underground in Cologne is being filmed and broadcast by the good bearded folk at Rockpalast, spreading the bearded feeling all over Germany. Great stuff.
